Meet the Team
Michael qualified as an accountant in 1991 and was made a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 1996. He started his own business in 1997 and has seen his client base grow to over 1500 clients, of which 950 are medical therapists.
Over the last 25 years Michael has lectured for many of the leading UK training establishments for manual therapists including the University of Brighton (podiatrists) Anglo European College of Chiropractic, British School of Osteopathy, British College of Osteopathic Medicine, McTimoney College of Chiropractic, European School of Osteopathy, London Foot Hospital, London School of Osteopathy, Oxford Brookes, International College of Oriental Medicine and others. He has spoken at the Society of Chiropodists & Podiatrist annual conferences in Harrogate, Glasgow and Bournemouth, and has run numerous CPD courses both in his own right and on behalf of the College of Chiropractors, the British Osteopathic Association and the Society of Chiropodists & Podiatrists.
He also deals with numerous other business areas including business consultants, journalists, tv and film producers, directors and performers, letting agents, property owners and more.
In his spare time Michael likes to play golf and make models out of card, wood, plastic and metal.
Sharon is the focal point of the whole practice, having worked with Michael for 24 years. She controls workflow and keeps tabs on everything that’s going on in our busy office, making sure that nothing is left to chance and that our whole operation runs smoothly, day in, day out. As if that weren’t enough, she organises Michael and his diary.
In her spare time, Sharon enjoys baking, doing jigsaws and spending time with her family.
Janet came to the UK in April 2003 and has since acquired an honours degree as well as her FCCA qualification.
' I have been enjoying working in the accounting/finance sector. I am very happy with my career choice as well as being very happy that I joined MBB FCCA.
In my spare time I like gardening, crafting, making my own jewellery and some DIY, homemaking upcycle projects. I also like to travel, to see the beauty of nature, enjoy a good walk in the woods as well as by the seaside. I recently bought a VW campervan so I am looking forward to embracing more adventures!'
Carol is our reception manager. She’s also responsible for making sure your limited company Confirmation Statement is filed with Companies House safely and in time – vital because a late return attracts a fine.
She also looks after a variety of essential admin tasks – posting welcome packs to new clients, invoicing, and keeping important information at Companies House and HMRC properly up to date.
‘Any spare time I have, I like to spend relaxing in restaurants, or walking, or enjoying a well-earned holiday! I’m actively involved raising money and running events for a charity.’
Shuveta – located in our Manchester office – is the main point of contact for our clients north of Birmingham, especially our large medical clientele. Her main responsibility is to process accounts from start to finish – from prep, to tax calculations, to final returns. She’s become a vital support for many of these businesses, a point brought home to us very clearly when she spent a year on maternity leave!
She holds an honours degree and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
‘I used to be a competitive swimmer and a tennis player, and when my two young children give me time off for good behaviour, I like to spend at least some of it regaining the levels of fitness I once enjoyed! Of course, they're happy when I can spend time playing with them – they keep me busy with their various activities. I’m also an adventurous baker and I just love trying out recipes for my family.'
Administrator and Accountant
May is a qualified Management Accountant and has a background in industry, managing budgets, cash flows, analysing accounting reports for risk assessments & interpreting performance variances.
May manages the workflow of our Company based clients’ accounts, she also handles sole trades, personal tax & deals with issues pertaining to HMRC re tax liabilities, refunds & mortgage applications.
'My real passion, however, is in developing myself to becoming a better life coach & mentor so I can come from an authentic place of service to humanity.
Recently, I’m discovering & enjoying solitude more, improving my meditation techniques & evolving towards a more spiritual lifestyle.
An ardent foodie, I also love to cook, bake & feed!'
Samir has been working for MBB FCCA for 5 years.
Qualified with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Samir has previously worked for a few small firms and also has accounts related experience in a well known trading company for a number of years. He prepares accounts for a variety of clients.

Leonie is the new media manager of Michael B Bennett Ltd. She started with the company in March 2023.
Leonie has a background in football media, as she is the training photographer and a media assistant for Boreham Wood Football Club.
Leonie's main role is to update all our social media platforms so keep an eye on them over the coming months!
Meet the Team
Payroll, VAT and Bookkeeping
Marc has worked for Michael since 2005 and primarily looks after the client`s monthly and annual payrolls, along with assisting clients with their book keeping, general enquiries and VAT requirements.
Married to Sharon who also works for the company, Marc enjoys watching most sports, particularly football, golf and snooker, but is not very good at playing any of them!
Marc also enjoys cooking, watching anything Star Trek and doing the odd DIY task.
Nayna graduated for North London University with an Accounting and Business degree (BA hons).
She has been working for Michael B Bennett since November 2016 assisting him in preparing personal tax returns, rental, and sole trade accounts.
'I enjoy the outdoors and spend most of my spare time gardening and going for long walks with my children. As a hobby I paint and decorate plant pots for friends and families.'
Nitu looks after accounts prep, corporation and personal tax returns, and assists our clients with their accounting software. She specialises in retail, property development and investment, antiques businesses, hospitality companies and medical practices.
She holds a bachelor’s degree (BCOM) from the University of Bombay and she’s a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). She has worked in accountancy since 1998 and with our practice since 2013.
'In my spare time I love to travel, and visiting new places. Learning about the different cultures, traditions and history that every place offers is always top of my list. A big part of exploring and travelling definitely includes sampling new cuisines.'
Karen has been our bookkeeping specialist since 2018 and assists clients with their bookkeeping and provides support for any online bookkeeping issues that arise.
She has a degree in Maths & Economics and qualified as an accountant in 1990.
In her spare time she loves playing sport and can usually be found on the racketball court or golf course!
Daud is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant(FCCA) and specialises in Accounts and Taxation for small and owner managed business. He has over 15 years of experience in helping our clients with their taxation and accounts issues. Besides working for MBB, Daud has his own thriving accountancy Practice in West Yorkshire.
Daud is married with 2 kids and as well as spending time with family , he likes to stay active and is a CrossFit and weightlifting enthusiast.
Kasia has her own accountancy practice and provides us with a range of services at times of pressure.
She came to the UK with an accounting degree from her home country of Poland and worked with us while she was training for her membership of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
